RUMOR: ‘Mockingjay’ Filming at Abandoned Chemical Plant in Berlin

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay has begun filming in Berlin, Germany for the last leg of the production, but we’ve seen very little of the actual filming as of right now. We know the set at Tempelhof Airport is being prepped for next week, and the rumors that Liam Hemsworth suffered an injury on set are a definite hint that they are, in fact, filming, but we didn’t have any hint as to where the filming was taking place.

Today, a source who wishes to remain anonymous let us know that the filming yesterday, today and tomorrow was taking place at an abandoned cement/chemical plant in Rüdersdorf, in the outskirts of the city. Keep in mind that this is unconfirmed information, but we did a little Google digging and thanks to Abandoned Berlin, you can see some pictures of the actual place below. In our opinion it definitely looks dilapidated enough to pass as a war zone… we’re thinking maybe District 8?

Assuming there’s truth to this rumor, what do you think of this place as a filming location? Be sure to tell us in a comment!
