Radio Côte d’Azur, a French radio station, got to interview the actress who portrayed District 9’s tribute in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Translation by Jabberjays.net:
Marian Green (M)
I: So, as she [the host] told you, she [Marian Green] was in ‘Hunger Games’.
I: What is it like to play in a movie that has been such a success?
M: ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ was the best experience I’ve had ever in my career. I’ve been a stuntwoman and an actress for almost – for over 30 years, and it’s very unusual at my age to still be working. Most actresses, by the time they’re 40, their career is behind them, so to get called to play a tribute from District 9 in ‘Catching Fire’ was an incredible experience, and an incredible return to filmmaking. After that, I then worked on ‘Anchorman 2’, and then I most recently worked on ‘Mockingjay’.
I: What are your current projects and your next important projects?
M: Currently, I am focusing on being a producer. My husband and I produced a film here in France called ‘The Assignment 1.0’ or in French ‘L’engagement 1.0’ (laughs) So we are working on getting that out into the marketplace and get it into distribution. So that’s what my heart currently focuses in and what my focus is. I don’t have any movie lined up right now because we’re focusing on getting our own movie out into the market.
The rest of the interview is mostly about how Marian likes it in France and how most of her friends would like to visit as well. She also wanted to thank her Twitter followers.
