Jena Malone Wraps Johanna Mason in ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay’

Tributes, prepare for an onslaught of feels.

Jena Malone recently did an interview with Refinery 29 focusing mainly on her music and her band The Shoe, but they also delved a little into her acting and of course, The Hunger Games was brought up. In her answer, Jena herself confirms that she’s finished filming all her scenes as Johanna Mason for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay (most likely she was done after Paris), with her friend and band mate Lem Jay Ignacio emphasizing how emotional that was for her:

Speaking of your other job, have you finished shooting everything for the next Hunger Games

JM: “I just finished shooting everything two weeks ago. It’s crazy. I don’t even know if I’m allowed to say that. We are finishing in June. But, they are so secretive. It is so crazy. We will wrap and then never play these characters ever again. I’m a little sad about it.”

LJ: “She was really sad. She was like, ‘I’m never going to do the character again!'”

JM: “It is kind of a strange thing, I don’t know. I’m hoping that I found all of the pieces. I’ve never carried a character for two and a half to three years before.”

It wasn’t long ago that Elizabeth Banks confirmed she’d wrapped Effie, and now Johanna is done. Can we start crying now?

You can see below some of the gorgeous pictures that accompanied the piece, and if you want to read the full interview, just jump on ahead to Refinery 29’s website. In the meantime we’ll be here in our little corner of denial, pretending that filming isn’t almost done. How about you, will you be joining us there?  Be sure to tell us in a comment!
