A series of cryptic pictures are currently being uploaded to the One Panem Instagram account, in a puzzle-like fashion, each accompanied with a one-word caption that forms together what (up to now) is part of a phrase: “…we burn, you burn with us! The Mockingjay Lives. #OurLeaderTheMockingjay.”
This is what the full picture looks so far, with the released pieces put together:
It definitely looks like someone holding a gun, probably someone masculine or gender neutral, with a red mockingjay symbol on top. The phrase is of course very familiar to fans, but people are speculating as to whose silhouette it might be: maybe it’s Katniss, Gale, or even some unnamed Peacekeeper “propaganda” shot that has been graffitied over by the rebels? Who do you think it will be? Stay tuned, as we’ll update this post with the final picture as soon as it’s up!
UPDATE: The full picture is out, and it looks like those of you who guessed it was a Peacekeeper got it right! The full caption (as expected) is: “Fire is catching! And if we burn, you burn with us! The Mockingjay Lives. #OurLeaderTheMockingjay.” The pictures were promptly deleted from the Instagram (guess the Capitol was quick to regain control of their account despite the rebel hacking), but we managed to piece them together before they disappeared.
