Lorde Tweets Third Line from her ‘Mockingjay’ Single “Yellow Flicker Beat”

Just a few minutes ago, Lorde gave her Twitter followers a third sneak peek at the lyrics of an upcoming song of hers; it’s almost certain this song is her single “Yellow Flicker Beat,” from the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack, which she is curating. Adding this new line to the two previous sneak peeks we got, we end up with:

I’m a princess cut from marble,
smoother than a storm,
and the scars that mark my body,
they’re silver and gold.
My blood is a flood of rubies,
precious stones

There’s definitely a theme to the imagery she’s using in the song, to the point that I’m almost wondering if she’s writing some kind of tribute to District 1 with all the luxury minerals she mentions! But we’re only two days away from the single’s release on Monday, so we don’t have all that long to wait until we get the full picture. In the meantime, who, or what, do you think the song could be about? Tell us in a comment.
