And the source of those new stills has just been discovered. Kellogg’s Krave have partnered with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 (… yup, that happened) to give away prizes with special packs of the cereal available in the UK and Ireland.
Ok, so the prizes are pretty cool: 2 Tickets for The Hunger Games Exhibition including flights and accommodation to New York, official signed and unsigned Mockingjay Part 2 posters, a tablet with the first 3 Hunger Games films already loaded and Mockingjay Part 2 mockingjay pins.
The tagline for this campaign is:
The Chocovore revolution has begun. Help the Chocovores try to devour the chocolate Capitol.
Yeah. Deep breathes. Yoga breathing, yoga breathing. So perhaps a breakfast cereal, in the same vein as the Doritos campaign last year and the Subway campaign the year before that, was not the most appropriate product in the world to help promote these stories about a girl saving a starving nation! This is the exact kind of Capitol thoughtlessness that the novels satire in the first place with Katniss quietly judging. I guess we’ll let Plutarch have the last word:
Still, if you abandon your moral judgment, it can be fun.
You can enter your pack code here to see if you’ve won a prize.
Update: @RebelDistrict13 tweeted us to let us know that the promotional boxes of Krave have also been spotted in Belgium.
