Mahershala Ali Nominated For Golden Globe, Wins Critics’ Choice Award

Mahershala Ali has been nominated for a Best Performance by a Supporting Actor Golden Globe for his role in Moonlight. He goes up against Dev Patel in Lion, Jeff Bridges in Hell Or High Water, Simon Helberg in Florence Foster Jenkins and Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Nocturnal Animals. Moonlight dominated the nominations picking up 6 nods including Best Motion Picture – Drama, Director and Screenplay. The Boggs actor is on a roll with his performance in Moonlight, picking up two Critics’ Choice Awards last night for Best Supporting Actor and Best Ensemble. Nina Jacobson is also up for a Globe for producing The People v O.J. Simpson which scored a nomination for Best Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. Also nominated in the same category is American Crime, The Night Manager, The Dresser and The Night Of.
