Composer: James Newton Howard

James Newton Howard was awarded the Max Steiner Film Achievement Award last night in Austria at the Hollywood In Vienna annual event. A musical concert of a number of Howard's music scores were performed by the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra including 'The Hanging Tree.'

Yesterday, the International Film Music Critics Association (IFMCA) announced the nominees for their 2014 awards, noting that James Newton Howard had received seven nominations.
