New Catching Fire Deleted Scene: “Pack Everything You Can.”

We're Leaving

Thanks to Hero Complex we have another “missing piece” of the Catching Fire movie puzzle. In this deleted scene we see the doors open from the Victory Tour train as Katniss is greeted by cheering fans from District 12 and a solemn Primrose and Ms. Everdeen.

As she steps off the train, Katniss gives a pageant wave and a fake smile that will make you cringe more than one of Effie’s ¬†Victory Tour speeches. We see any attempt at convincing President Snow of their love has failed as Peeta exits the train separately behind Katniss without even glancing her way.

Katniss and Prim embrace as her fake smile fades to desperation. She whispers, “Pack everything you can. We’re leaving.”

Do you think this scene should have made the final cut? What do you think of the obvious lack of a romantic “spark” between Katniss and Peeta after the Victory Tour? ¬†We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below.
