BREAKING: Nina Jacobson Tweets Shocking News Of Buttercup’s Death

Get ready to pick your jaws up off the floor, tributes. Earlier this morning, Nina Jacobson tweeted out that the cute little kitty she’d posted a photo of last week would be meeting an end different than the one in the book. The tweet simply stated, “Hope the fans forgive us for this one. R.I.P. Buttercup #crazycat”.

The tweet has since been deleted, but one of our readers took a screenshot and sent it in.

With Willow Shields back in Atlanta and a casting call in March calling for groups of children to film on March 29 and March 31, it’s starting to sound like Prim might have been accompanied by the poor cat on her trip to the Capitol??

A rumor had been floating around recently that the character Finnick Odair would be spared from his demise in the books, but this news still comes as a shock to fans who have come to expect nothing but complete faithfulness to Suzanne Collins’ material.

Update: Happy April Fool’s Day!
