Trish Summerville Wins Best Costume Saturn Award for Catching Fire

The 40th Annual Saturn Awards ceremony, honoring the best of fantasy, sci-fi and horror in both film and television, took place last night in Burbank, CA. The biggest news of the night for us was that The Hunger Games: Catching Fire head costume designer Trish Summerville walked off with the award for Best Costume! Congratulations to her, we’re always happy to see our franchise be recognized, especially in these awards that are so important in the genre.

Mingle Media TV got the chance to interview Trish at the Saturn Awards red carpet last night, asking her about her inspiration for her job, what the most challenging part of it is, and working in the sci-fi genre, among other topics. You can watch the full interview below.

You may recall Catching Fire received seven nominations for these awards, but unfortunately Trish’s win was the only one for the movie. Still, the number of nominations keeps increasing every year (The Hunger Games only had two), so here’s hoping the Mockingjay movies can actually sweep the Saturns in the upcoming two years!

Do you believe the movie deserved more wins in this ceremony? Do you have a favorite costume in Catching Fire? Tell us what you think in a comment!
