#ReadMockingjay Day: Scavenger Hunt for ‘Hunger Games’ Books in London

We just let you know yesterday that there’s a #ReadMockingjay campaign happening in the United Kingdom to celebrate the introduction of the new “Rebel” editions of the Hunger Games trilogy of books. Well, today the campaign took off with a little scavenger hunt for several copies of these new editions in the London underground!

@BooksUndergrnd is a book exchange program allowing for people pick up free copies of books in the London underground, read them, and then leave them in the underground again for someone else to read. Today, they’re celebrating #ReadMockingjay day and have been distributing over 300 copies of these new editions through the tube system.

If you live in London and want to find them, think of underground stations that “represent” the 13 districts of Panem. A couple of the locations were revealed in an article in the Metro newspaper. Books on the Underground have been dropping hints via their Twitter account as well!

We think this is such an amazing idea, and it sounds like so much fun! Props to Books on the Underground for this initiative, and we can’t wait to see what else the #ReadMockingjay campaign brings to the UK. What do you think of this?
