IMDb is reporting that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 will be 145 minutes long, which is 2 hours and 25 minutes, and only one minute shorter than the second installment, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Of course, since pretty much everybody (with a Pro account) can edit IMDb, you must, as always, consider this a rumor until further confirmation from Lionsgate.
Most of the filming concluded last summer, back-to-back with Part 1, but it has also been revealed that there was one last scene that needed to be filmed this spring. If this running time is in fact from an inside source, that one scene could still change the final product. Francis Lawrence also said they would do post-production after the holidays, and since it has been a month, they could be far enough into the process to have an official running time.

It was expected to be longer, but I’m still excited to find out it will likely be true! I liked Part 1, but I really want our last movie to be the best, and to do so they need enough running time. Do you agree? Leave a comment below!
