VIDEO: Jennifer, Josh and Liam on the Themes of The Hunger Games

Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth sat down for an interview in Madrid this morning with Europa Press to discuss The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 and the issues the film brings up. Jennifer charts Katniss change from a reluctant hero to someone who steps up to really make a difference. Josh describes Peeta’s journey to try to get back to the young man he was. Liam explains the change in their privacy and always being aware of how you behave in case you are being photographed. Jennifer describes the paranoia and awareness of being watched is necessary in an age where every person has a phone with a camera. Jennifer chronicles the evolution of Hollywood, how it is changing and the hopeful end of the myth that males cannot relate to a female lead. Finally, Josh talks about the allegorical themes and plots of The Hunger Games that are understood by audiences universally.
